Form your own team and complete the Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run marathon. A relay team can have up to 4 members.
Changeover points will occur at the following points: mile 6.5, mile 13 and mile 21. Those changing at mile 6.5 will be transported back into the city while the other changing points are very close to the City centre enabling runners to recover as they walk towards the reunion point at the Strand hotel. This reunion point will allow all team members to complete the remaining few hundred meters and cross the finish line together, Share the work, Share the achievement.
RULES & PRIZES
1. Prizes are awarded to the winning team. Winning Team collects €400. Second team collects €200 and third team collects €100.
2. A team can consist of between 2 and 4 team members.
3. Incorrect category assignment must be highlighted prior to April 30th. This is viewable on the website.
4. The Great Limerick Run operates a ‘one person, one prize’ policy.
5. Placings will be awarded on gun time not chip time. i.e. whoever crosses the line first wins (not their chip time).

9am – The marathon relay will commence with the marathon at 9:00am.
A finishers medal, a technical high quality finishers t-shirt (handed out at the Expo), food, refreshment and the elation of having completed a remarkable event on a memorable day in Limerick 2016.

Yes pacemakers will be available at 3hrs, 3hrs 15mins, 3 hrs 30 mins, 3 hrs 45 mins, 4hrs and 4 hrs 30 mins.
Miles 3, 6, 8.5, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23.5 and 25.5.
Yes chips are used. Splits are taken at 10 kilometres, halfway and 30 kilometres.
Marathon course closes at 4:30PM. The first half of the course closes at 12 noon.

No. Overall times will be issued for the entire course with splits as detailed above.
Yes. Buses will transport team members into position for leg 2. Buses will depart from the Tourist Office at Arthurs Quay at 8:30am and at 8:45am. Also buses will return team members that finish at leg 2 to the city centre.
The Relay Team re-union point is on O’Callaghan Strand beside The Strand Hotel.
Yes. These can be collected at the Expo.
