Half Marathon

13.1 miles or 21 kilometers through a mixture of Limerick's city center, riverside, suburb and countryside locations. The course initially heads south taking the participants past Old Crescent Rugby Club and then heading back to the city along the St.Nessans Road, Ballinacurra Road and O'Connell Avenue. Over the last 10 kilometers the participants will enjoy a host of landmark sites including fantastic view of King Johns Castle, Thomond Bridge, Sarsfield Bridge, The Treaty Stone, Thomond Park as well as traveling along the wonderful riverside Clancy Strand and O'Callaghan Strand. The half marathon finishes on Limerick's main street O'Connell Street.

What do I get when I finish?

A finishers medal, a souvenir finishers tee-shirt(handed out at the Expo), food, refreshment and the elation of having completed a remarkable event on a memorable day in the European City of Sport in 2012.

 

What time does the course close?

Course closes at 4:30PM.

 

Are timing chips used-if yes what splits?

Yes chips are used. Chip times are taken at the start and finish.

Where can I see my time details?

Results will be published on the website within 24 hours.
