About the Race
3 Great Races, 1 Great Day!
On Sunday May 6th the streets of Limerick will fill once again with runners, joggers and walkers from far and wide. The 2011 event saw over 7000 participants enjoy a superb day out and the 2012 event promises to be even bigger and better.
There's something here for everyone! The event consists of three fully certified races:a marathon, a half marathon and a 6 mile race all commencing over a staggered start schedule. The three events commence over a staggered start schedule. The marathon starts at 9AM, the half marathon starts at 11:30AM and the 6 mile starts at 1:00PM.
All participants will convene at the same congregation area and
finish at the same finishing line. The race is unique for many reasons. The
marathon enters the city on no less than four occasions which helps to generate
great support for the athletes. The route has been carefully designed to
incorporate the many sporting and historic highpoints in Limerick including the
